Wildflower Paintings of the Southeast USA

I have finished 2 more paintings in this new series of wildflower paintings. The paintings have texture on them which doesnt show up well on the the computer. The size is 12"x30" and the depth is 1.50". I have painted around the edges so you dont have to frame these.

New Wildflower Paintings!
These are 2 of my newest paintings. They reflect a new style of painting for me. I recently had an art show in the high country of North Carolina and I was inspired to paint some native plants of the area. I painted these with a palette knife onto 3/4" canvas. The knife gives me the opportunity to add lots of texture. The texture doesn't show up real well in these pictures. I will try to take pictures that reflects that in the next few days. The size is 12"x 30".
These are both for sale, you can contact me if you are interested in purchasing them.

First Blog

I was inspired to start a blog today. I will be posting my new paintings and my botany adventures.

I had a great day today at my volunteer job at the Native Plant Garden at Georgia Perimeter College. We cleaned out one of the bogs and divided up some Iris Virginica and Netted Chain Fern. The bogs look great this year! They love all of the rain we have received this year. I will post some pictures later. Check back often to see my paintings and photography of native plants.
